Well, I guess it's true!!! Planning a wedding is stressful and whatever can go wrong, will!!! I thought I was ahead of the game, I had the facility, the date, the dress, Emma’s dress, and bridesmaid dresses. I had a meeting with my coordinator September 2nd to only find out everything had changed. The contract that I had signed months ago was being changed. Conversations with the coordinator going nowhere, I was telling the coordinator what I wanted just to hear her rebuttal with what she wanted. Then there was the rude awakening of the wedding costing thousands more than our original quote. So as you can tell my mother and I left very distraught. I emailed the coordinator the next day about some minor details; days went by and never heard from her. Weeks went by and I never heard from her. Calls went unanswered, finally I heard from her to hear only excuses and abandonment. She said that obviously there was some tension at our last meeting and if I wanted to get out of my contract, she would give me a full refund. I declined, because I love the resort and don’t want to have to start over again.
Weeks went by again and I haven’t heard from her yet again, so I decided to email her yet again, to touch base with her and yet again days went by. Consequently, hear it is October 12th and I still haven’t heard from her. Thus, we are 7 months away from our wedding and I have to start all over again. I have visited 3 places and have a couple more to go. Out of the few that I have visited, the Hilton in downtown Knoxville is my favorite. As our journey continues, I will try to keep you posted. Thanks for listening and remember us in your thoughts.
